Summer Social Success!!
As noted in the President’s Message above, the summer social was well attended with over 100 combined members and guests. We celebrated our 20th year with historical memorabilia and opportunities to chat with special guests throughout our NTMN history. There were also several activities during the evening: a homemade ice cream contest, the annual cherry spitting contest, and a photo booth.

Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center at Cedar Hill
The Audubon nature center is nestled at the mouth of the Dogwood Canyon, an uplift of the Balcones (White Rock) Escarpment. Volunteers are vital for support of Dogwood Canyon’s small staff, programs, and habitat.

This year the Master Naturalist program is celebrating its 20th year (just like our chapter)! Registration is now open. Registration for the meeting and accommodation reservations are a little different this year, so make sure you register AND book your room to ensure you are both enrolled in the classes you want AND have a place to stay! In addition to knocking out hours and hours of AT in one weekend, you can also showcase your talents by participating in several contests: photo, art, and media; video; and the project fair. Visit the Annual Conference page for rules and deadlines.
