Cedar Ridge Preserve – Conservation in Action Workday (VH) Saturday, June 17, 2017 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM Habitat restoration and trail maintenance at Cedar Ridge Preserve is on the third Saturday of every month throughout the year, rain or shine. Volunteers remove non-native plants, restore trails, and work in the butterfly garden. We’ll provide water, snacks, and tools. Wear sturdy boots or shoes with good ankle support. Bring gloves, sun screen and bug repellent. People are welcome to come and leave early if they can’t stay. And bring a friend! RSVP required only if you are bringing a large group.
Also, Cedar Ridge Preserve has an Ambassador Program: commit four hours a month. Training is held on our third Saturday workdays. Leading a hike, sharing a presentation, greeting hikers, removing invasive plants, and other exciting opportunities await you just 17 miles south of downtown Dallas. Ten miles of hiking trails abound with iNaturalist up loadable life (Project Cedar Ridge Preserve).
