Darnell D. Davis is President of the Student Veterans Association, Herbarium Intern at Botanical Research Institute of Texas, National Society of Leadership & Success Member, Co-Director of Young, Black, & Gifted Student Organization, and an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas at Dallas. While enrolled, he applies his focus to obtain a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. During his studies on campus, his goal is to earn his Ph.D and conduct research in the field of Medicinal Botany. He expects the Texas Master Naturalist Program to play an intricate role in his academic career and potentially help others. The topics of study are relevant and encourage an environment of lifelong learning.

Darnell intends to apply Texas Master Naturalist lessons to the academic department on campus. He believes his involvement in the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program will have a long-term effect on his community and help others better understand their environment.
