The April Chapter meeting will be at Mountain View College
Wednesday, April 5, 2017
Please join us as Dwight Wilson shows and talks about tracks and sign, but also about how wildlife interacts and connects to it’s environment. Understanding the big picture of tracking will connect the Naturalist to the wildlife they track and also to nature!
Dwight was raised on a small farm where he roamed the woods and learned to hunt and trap at a young age. In 1990 a close friend of his gave him a book calledThe Tracker by Tom Brown Jr. Dwight said “I was hooked. That’s when I started to seriously study tracking.” He went on to study at Tom Brown’s Tracker School, Wilderness Awareness School, and with incredible Trackers like Paul Rezendes, Charles Worsham, Stanley Liston, and Nathan Kempton.
His passion for nature and tracking has given him on many adventures and provided opportunities to share the art of tracking with others including home schooled children, youth organizations, environmental educators, law enforcement and military units. Dwight is also the author of two books on the subject of tracking called Following Tracks Vol.1 and 2.
