May 3 Chapter Meeting – Environmental Conservation and Justice: A Community & Conservationist Partnership Story

May 3 NTMN Meeting — change of speakers

Environmental Conservation and Justice: A Community & Conservationist Partnership Story

Please join us to meet a very important partner of the Master Naturalists: Ms. Sherri Mixon, Executive Director of T.R. Hoover Community Development Center. A local leader of the Ideal+Bonton neighborhood of Dallas’ southern sector, Ms. Mixon has been working with Master Naturalists from the North Texas chapter on a number of projects. Rebecca Posten and Kristi Kerr Leonard from the North Texas chapter will share the background to this relationship. Then, Ms. Mixon will explain why this environmental and conservation work is so important for her and her community; what kind of work they have been doing together; and what she is looking forward to in the future.

This is a unique and important opportunity to speak directly with one of our partners in a diverse community to learn directly how we can all do our work better.

Join us at Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, Building H, Room 125. Campus map.
