The April meeting program will consider the White Rock Escarpment, Dallas County’s most prominent land-form, from the perspective of geologic time. This deep history will begin on a chalky seafloor, beneath a warm shallow subtropical seaway. It will conclude among summer orchids on the crest of the escarpment.
About the Speaker
Paul Dolliver was born and raised in southern California. Paul earned degrees in History (BA) and Geology (BS & MS) from Baylor University. His first career (37 years) consisted of mapping the subsurface geology of North American oil & gas basins. His second career (29 years & counting) has involved teaching Geology to community college students. Paul currently teaches at Collin, Hill, and Richland colleges. He has been a member of NTMN since Spring 2018.
