Speaker – Jim Peterson has been an avid birder and bird conservation leader and educator in Texas for over thirty years. Jim has worked for National Audubon Society and was Curator of Birds, Dallas Museum of Natural History from 1986-1994. Jim served in a volunteer capacity as President of the Texas Ornithological Society from 1993-1995. He is the co-author of “Birds of the Trans-Pecos” and has been the Dallas Christmas Bird Count compiler since 1987. Jim also manages the popular which continues the work of North-Central Texas birding legend Warren Pulich.
