Before the S’mores: 3rd Annual Batweek Celebration at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center

Join us for an evening celebrating our favorite flying mammal! Jessica Anderson, Director of Education for Bat World Sanctuary, will share some amazing information about these nocturnal creatures during the main presentation of the evening. Carol Garrison, BCI Bat Ambassador, will lead a stroll on the boardwalk to enjoy the darkness of the wetland. 

Have some fun and dress up in your favorite bat or Halloween custom; we’ll have a prize for the best adult and youth costumes! Younger guests will enjoy a nocturnal creature craft, and guests over 21 can enjoy a bat-themed cocktail for an additional fee. Bring your chairs and sing some campfire songs while enjoying a s’more to wrap up this evening dedicated to a very important member of our ecosystem.
