This is an 8-week series of birding classes for beginners. The classes are on Zoom and approved for 1 hour AT each. You can sign up for the entire series or just the class that interests you.

Cost: $5 per class or $30 for the 8-week series

Jan. 16 – How to Select Binoculars and Field Guides
Jan. 23  – Understanding Your Birding Field Guide: Terminology used in field guides
Jan.  30 – Using Your Birding Field Guide: ID methods using size and shape, behavior and habitat clues; where to look in your field guide
Feb. 6  – Understanding Habitat: Different habitat types and the kinds of birds that each attracts
Feb. 13 – Bird Behavior: See our personal videos of a variety of birds in action, and learn how you can use behavior to help with ID.
Feb. 20 – Plumage Variation: Reasons for plumage variations, effect of molting on ID, color changes of bills, legs, and feet
Feb. 27 –  Spring Migration: Migration trends and some of the species that you may see
