Field trip to Butterflies Unlimited butterfly farm, Glenn Heights, TX

One of DCLS’s most popular field trips. Butterflies Unlimited butterfly farm supplies live butterflies to exhibits at zoos all over the country.  Located in southern Dallas county at the home of Dale Clark, the “farm” is not normally open to the public. Walk through a flight house filled with Texas native butterflies, see hundreds of caterpillars in the “caterpillar greenhouse”, tour the gardens and get ideas for your own butterfly habitat, and look at an extensive butterfly collection with specimens from around the world. A small selection of plants will also be available for purchase. Bring your camera, family, friends and fellow gardening fanatics.

You need not be a member of DCLS to attend.
