Dallas Citizen Forester Academy

Train to become a Citizen Forester. Citizen Foresters is a NTMN project and is supported by the City of Dallas. The training covers basic tree physiology, tree ID, proper planting and pruning techniques, insects and diseases, proper care and maintenance.

Thursday night classes are held at the Meadows Conference Center, 2900 Live Oak St., Dallas 75204. Saturday classes are held at Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC). Once trained, Citizen Foresters plant trees in neighborhoods and educate the public about planting and caring for trees and the importance of the urban forest.

Cost: Free, but you must register. Registration ends August 30.
