Train to become a Citizen Forester. Citizen Foresters is a NTMN project and is supported by the City of Dallas. The training covers basic tree physiology, tree ID, proper planting and pruning techniques, insects and diseases, proper care and maintenance.
All classes are held at Trinity River Audubon Center, 6500 Great Trinity Forest Way, Dallas 75217. Once trained, Citizen Foresters plant trees in neighborhoods and educate the public about planting and caring for trees and the importance of the urban forest. Total AT for completing the training is 27 hours.
The October 30 class focus will be Planting, Pruning, and Maintenance.
