Dallas Citizen Forester Training

Train to become a Citizen Forester. Citizen Foresters is a NTMN project. The Citizen Forester program is supported by the City of Dallas Trinity Watershed Management Department. The training covers basic tree physiology, tree ID, proper planting and pruning techniques, insects and disease, proper care and maintenance.
Thursday night classes are held at the Meadows Conference Center, 2900 Live Oak St., Dallas 75204. Saturday classes are held at Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC). Once trained, Citizen Foresters plant trees in neighborhoods and educate the public about planting and caring for trees and the importance of the urban forest.
