Ecology of a Chalk Prairie

Location: Spring Creek Forest Preserve, 1787 Holford Rd., Garland, TX 75044 (Look for the rectangular parking lot on the west side of Holford between George Bush and Arapaho.)

Join Master Naturalists Adam Cochran and Dana Wilson to explore the “bedrock” of our area – limestone – by looking at the unique plant community and the ecosystem of a limestone prairie. Bring water and wear a sun hat and sunscreen; there’s not much shade in the area where we’ll be walking.
