Invasive Species Eradication and Habitat Restoration Workshop at Coppell NP

In this workshop you will learn techniques for removing common invasive plants without the use of herbicide or power tools. You will learn to use several different tools to uproot invasive plants and how to use girdling to kill plants that can’t be uprooted. The workshop will include an opportunity for hands-on practice. Targets will include privet, Chinese pistache, white mulberry, and Japanese honeysuckle. This program is provided by the Biodiversity Education Center at Coppell Nature Park and is free, but you must register.
Location: Coppell Biodiversity Education Center, Coppell Nature Park at Wagon Wheel Park, 367 S. Freeport Parkway, Coppell, TX 75019
Parking: Use the main entrance to Wagon Wheel Park complex. Park by the batting cages on the northwest side of the parking lot. Follow the signs down the paved path to the Biodiversity Education Center.
