¡Bienvenidos Compañeros Naturalistas Maestros!
Welcome Fellow Master Naturalists!
The LatinX Inclusion Team (LIT) is thrilled to extend this invitation to all fellow Naturalists on behalf of Don Tereso Ortiz and the Casa Guanajuato community to attend their 27th Anniversary and Fiestas Patrias Event.
Casa Guanajuato is a Community Center located in North Oak Cliff, that was founded by Don Tereso Ortiz and a small group of fellow citizens from Ocampo, Guanajuato. The center provides education, sports and cultural activities for the Hispanic community, while promoting and preserving Mexican culture and traditions.
LIT has been cultivating this relationship with Casa Guanajuato on behalf of NTMN since 2020. It is our hope that our participation in this event will mark the beginning of many more beautiful collaborations with the Casa Guanajuato community and NTMN.
For this first community engagement with Casa Guanajuato, we decided to staff the table/booth ourselves instead of making an “Open Call” for volunteers so that chapter members could use this as an informal “Open House” to visit the facility and meet the Casa Guanajuato community.
Please see the above invitation for details and program schedule. English translation below.
3:00pm – Vendor booths
5:00 – Honor Guard and Salute to the Heroes of Our Land & Liberty
5:10 – Greeting & Welcome by Mr. Tereso Ortiz
5:15 – Guest Speakers
5:30 – Performing Artists
