I just wanted to let you all know about some of the really fun evening/night events next week to document as many different moths as possible in DFW. There are three events going on.Midlothian, Mockingbird Nature Park – July 27, Wednesday, 8:00 PM
Fort Worth, Fort Worth Nature Center – July 28, Thursday, 8:30 PM
http://www.fwnaturecenter.org/event/nature-center-after-hours/Dallas, Lockwood Park – July 30, Saturday, 8:00 PM
http://www.dallasparks.org/Facilities/Facility/Details/Lochwood-572I’ll be at all three! I hope to see some of y’all there too. The end times of these events will likely vary… We’ll stay out as long as we can, I betcha! Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Also, to prep for the event, I’ve been sorta working on a little guide of the moths of DFW. On iNat, there is a limit of 500 species per guide, and so far, there have been 430 observed!
