Oliver Creek Field Trip
Saturday, August 11, 2018   8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

This trip is not limited to members of the Dallas Paleontological Society. Everyone is invited. This is a family-friendly trip; kids welcome!

The location is private land in the Goodland Formation (lower Cretaceous, middle Albian) just west of Drop, TX. Expect to find ammonites and echinoids and other typical marine fossils, including shark teeth. Bring hard-rock tools (hammer, chisels), bucket, wading shoes, sun protection, plenty of liquids. We’ll lunch by the creek, so bring your own brown bag. The Society will furnish some drinks and dessert.

Meet at 8:00 AM in Justin, TX, at the Justin Boot Outlet parking lot right, 104 E. 4th St. (FM 156, where it shares the road with FM 407), Justin, TX 76247. As always, check the Paleo Hotline (817-355-4693) for any last-minute changes.
