The Art of Beekeeping 2018

Saturday, January 20, 2018      9:00 AM – 12:30 PM 

The Art of Beekeeping is an introductory course. You will learn how to get started in beekeeping, bee biology, bee equipment, honey production, and more. Classes will be held on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17, April 21, and May 5. All meet from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. The first 3 classes are held at JBS; the last 2 are hands-on in the bee yard in Rowlett.

Cost: $235 ($215 before Jan. 13). Includes copy of The Beekeepers Handbook.

Location: John Bunker Sands Wetland Center, 655 Martin Lane, Seagoville, TX 75159
Directions: Take I-635 or I-20 to Hwy 175 South toward Seagoville. Drive past the Seagoville exits; then exit on FM 1389 South. Drive approx. 2 miles to Martin Lane. Turn left onto Martin Lane and proceed to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center on the right.
