Grasses: The Rodney Dangerfield of the Vascular Plant World at BRIT (AT) Saturday, November 4, 2017 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM This class, Grasses: The Rodney Dangerfield of the Vascular Plant World, is part of the TERM (Techniques for Ecological Research and Management) program, a joint education project of the Fort Worth Nature Center, BRIT, and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. In this class, you will be introduced to the world of grasses that are found in the prairies, savannas, and woodlands of North Texas. The class will include the parts of the grass plant, taxonomic classification, significance of various grass species, their potential values, and the ecosystem services they provide. The instructor is Dan Caudle. Meet in the BRIT classroom.
