Introduction to the Texas Master Naturalist by the North Texas Chapter

When: Saturday, November 11  9AM – 4PM

Where: Mountain View College, 4849 W. Illinois Ave., Room W38  Dallas, TX  75211

What is a gall? Where can I learn about nature and volunteer outside? Who knows about native Texas bugs? Why are those Naturalists removing privet from the campus of Mountain View College? Learn all this and more November 11th!

9:00 AM – Weird & Wild Critters of DFW Citizen Science by Sam Kieschnick, Texas Parks & Wildlife
10:00 AM – Photography is a Naturalist’s Tool by Stalin SM, NTMN Class of 2015
10:30 AM – South Dallas County Projects by Marcie Haley, Twelve Hills
11:00 AM – Engaging Public in Nature and Promoting Conservation by Julie Collins, Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center
11:30 AM – Edible Plant Walk on MVC Campus by Bob Richie, NTMN Class of 2012
12 NOON – Lunch
1:00 PM – Entomology by Mariana Griggs, El Centro faculty
2:00 PM – Galls by Lisa Dolliver, Trinity River Audubon Center
3:00 PM – Great Trinity Forest by Ben Sandifer, Master Birder
