Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the San Antonio River Authority, and the Texas Water Resources Institute are hosting a free workshop on the nature and function of stream and riparian zones, as well as the benefits and economic impacts from healthy riparian systems. Workshop topics include watershed processes, basic hydrology, erosion/deposition principles, riparian vegetation, causes of degradation and possible resulting impairment, resources available to prevent and/or resolve degradation.

The focus of this training will be the Mid and Lower Cibolo Creek watershed. Dress is casual and comfortable for the weather, as we will be outside at the stream during the afternoon.

A catered lunch is available for $10, or participants may bring their own lunch. Lunch payment can be made using the online system or paid in cash at the door.
