Winter Trees and Signs of Spring
Saturday, February 9, 2019  1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

A strange irony – winter is a great time to learn tree ID, when the leaves are off and you can see the true structure and identifying characteristics of trees. It’s also a great time to get ready for spring, since the winter rosettes of many wildflowers are already up. Join us Saturday, February 9, for a 1.5 hour walk to practice tree ID and anticipate the soon-to-come wildflower season. A template for identifying trees will be provided, so if you like to take notes, bring a pen and clipboard. This walk is led by Dana Wilson.
