Examining leaves is a common practice for identifying trees. However, you can look at other features such as growth habits, bark, twigs, buds and even leaf scars. Join plant ecologist Suzanne Tuttle and learn ways to identify deciduous trees in winter. Pre-registration required. Activity #9628
