Description of Project: A community volunteer project to help restore and conserve our urban forest. It is sponsored by Dallas Park and Recreation Department and the Dallas Urban Forest Advisory Committee. Citizen Foresters are trained in basic tree knowledge and skills, including benefits of trees, tree identification, and planting and pruning. A fee is charged for the required training class.

Volunteers participate in community education, community outreach events, and community tree planting events.
