FTLOTL is a volunteer group dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of White Rock Lake. They work in cooperation with Dallas Park and Recreation.

Master Naturalists participate along with volunteers from Adopt-A-Shoreline groups and any interested citizens in Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up days, held the second Saturday of every month. Newcomers are welcomed, and all meet to sign in between 8:00 and 9:00 AM at the FTLOTL office, located in the northeast corner of Buckner and Garland Road (facing Buckner). The clean-up time is 2 hours. Free coffee, juice, and pastries are provided at the office when you go to sign in. You are also provided with trash bags, recycling bags, latex gloves, and a pick-up tool.
