Nature Explorers is an educational outreach activity which provides theme-based nature hikes every month for young children through 3rd grade. It is a next step from the Tiny Trekkers project and is offered during mornings to serve home-schooled families. The program’s mission is to create an informed love of nature that will encourage children to respect and preserve our natural world. The walks are conducted at nature areas mainly within Dallas County. Parents attend all walks with their children and bear the responsibility for their safety.

Volunteers plan and conduct nature walks, contact families about the schedule, plan and conduct hands-on activities as part of the walk.
