Texas Discovery Gardens

Texas Discovery Gardens has as its purpose teaching effective ways to restore, conserve and preserve nature in an urban setting with a focus on gardening organically and sustainably.

Texas Discovery Gardens is the site of a Butterfly Conservatory that houses 500 imported butterflies. In addition, we have 7 and 1/2 acres of gardens, including a hummingbird and a native butterfly garden, all of which are open Wednesday through Sunday to the public.

Volunteers work as docents in the butterfly conservatory, propagate and maintain plantings, provide educational programs for school groups and the public and feature special events such as plant sales, workshops, garden walks and public festivals.
