The scheduled class work and field trips have concluded for the amazing 2019 class. Forty-six Master Naturalists in training continue to volunteer and attend advanced training, to make-up classes and field trip sessions, and to complete their class projects. So far, this group has accumulated more than 1080 volunteer hours and 263 advanced training hours. At least eight trainees will have logged all the hours required to receive their name badge in July. Way to go 2019!
The class divided into three project teams. One group is developing interpretive signs and an open house event for the Eco Park at the new facility for the Texas A&M University AgriLife Extension Water University. A second group is refurbishing the Prairie Trunk. The third group is developing a STEMWalk for the Twelve Hills Nature Center.
The three class projects will be unveiled at several events over the next few months including the July summer social.
