Providing replacement nesting and roosting habitat for chimney swifts. This effort helps protect the chimney swift population from endangerment due to the loss of their natural habitat over the last 150 years. An additional goal of the project is to raise public awareness of the problem of habitat loss for chimney swifts as well as other wildlife species.

Volunteers build, install and monitor chimney swift towers. They observe and count chimney swifts and report their data to the Cornell Labs and the Driftwood Wildlife Association, a Texas organization which works with Audubon in Travis County.
