Join John Snowden for a walk to see spring flowers and grasses.

Imagine the hills without trees.  Imagine you are able to look off into the plains & watch thousands of bison grazing peacefully through beautiful spring flowers.  Imagine that’s why they named the city Grand Prairie.

Walk through some of those grasses, vines, and flowers with me.  Watch pollinators go about their work, gathering nectar or pollen.  Learn that bees are more interested in their work than stinging us.  Watch butterflies flit & beetles gather on flowers.  Learn different kinds of flowers & grasses, and if we have time, learn about an ancient streambed now stranded high on a hilltop!
