Texas Riparian and Stream Ecosystems

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Lampasas River Watershed Partnership, and the Texas Water Resources Institute are hosting a free workshop on the nature and function of stream and riparian zones, as well as the benefits and economic impacts from healthy riparian systems. Workshop topics include watershed processes, basic hydrology, erosion/deposition principles, riparian vegetation, causes of degradation and possible resulting impairment, resources available to prevent and/or resolve degradation.

The focus of this training will be the Lampasas Watershed. Dress is casual and comfortable for the weather, as we will be outside at the stream during the afternoon.

The workshop is free and includes lunch.
